DS, 7, starts grade 2 and DD, 5, starts grade 1. They are super excited.
What should I make them for lunch? Boiled eggs and chicken sandwiches (I'd have to cook the chicken breasts, which I have no issue doing)?

If you are going to do eggs do like I do.  Purchase one of those bigger sized ice packs leave it in the freezer over night then sit whatever has eggs in it, on the ice pack in the lunch bag.  Also freeze a bottle of water in the morning but not too frozen that it won't melt by lunch time.  This will keep the lunch bag nice and cold until lunch time.  Just remember to tell your kids what they don't eat at lunch time, do not eat after if they have snack time or when they get home.
