I was volunteering in DS classroom. The teacher stood when they did the pledge over the intercom but she didn't say it. The kids did. How does this make you feel?

Good for her. I wouldn't have either. I tell my son not to at school either.

I don't say it, either. Why would anyone care?

Her choice. She has the freedom not to if she so chooses. As long as she isn't forcing my child to say it or not say it, I don't care.

Who cares. As long as you're respectful and stand its no big deal. I never said in school either. I only stood.

I wouldn't like it, but it's her choice.

The kids have a choice, why shouldn't the teacher?

They turned the pledge in to a pray type thing web they ADDED the word to the original pledge.

I don't say it either. Rationally it makes no sense why we would put religion into it.

I'm a big pledge supporter....I think as long as she stands and shows proper respect it is okay.....her choice, and the reason I want the pledge to be said is to reinforce that you can choose not to say it...that includes our teachers. If a students asks her about it, she can respectfully say that she chooses not to say the pledge for her own reasons, and the student should talk to their parents about how to make that choice.

I don't say the pledge. I stand and cover my heart. I'm a teacher. I won't say the pledge until we remove "Under God".
