Do your kids have school for Rosh Hashanah? ETA

Mine dont. Not that it bother me...just asking.

ETA: Rosh Hashanah is sept 4 - sept 6. My kids have no school today but they go tomorrow.

Yes. There isn't a large Jewish population here.

Yes.  I doubt there is one Jewish family in this entire town (of just over 4000 people.)  But, even when we lived in Seattle there was school-and there still is.  Most (if not all) the Jewish kids weren't in school though, and the schools were very accomodating.

I wish.  Normally I  have to jump through hoops to make sure that they get the day off and not get docked for missing class/assignments.  No matter what the district policy, there is always one teacher who just doesn't get that the kids aren't sitting at home playing...but are in services all day.

I will admit that for several reasons I didn't do that this year.  They are in class and I went to minyan this morning by myself and I am now home nursing a migraine.
