Its the NEXPLANON. Its a implant in the arm. Last for 3yrs. Doesnt hurt when they do it but now my arm is sore.

Mine was like that. Had it for 3 weeks. Was swollen & bruised the whole time. Had it taken out & & got Paragard.

FYI: it hurts more coming out than going in. & I advise not to get an IUD the same day you have an implant removed. The pain was unbearable for me & I was in bed for the next 24 hours. And I have a high tolerance for pain.

The only SURE is abstinance.  I would be willing to bet that just like any other hormonal birth control, it will become less effective with antibiotics.  Even with perfect use, evereything has a failure rate.

Yea I went with the extended plan a little bigger scar but the peace of mind is worth it.

i had the implanon for almost two years and didnt have one period. i was bfing tho too. i loved it.
