Please do not turn this into a circ debate. It has been a very long few days and I will ignore you.

Anyway, my son was born a little premature on Thursday. The OB is saying he is too small to.circ? Have you heard this before? How long am I supposed to wait? I havent seen the doctor about it yet which is why I am asking here.

It increases risks.  Newborns shouldn't have surgery, especially premature ones.  Wait until his gestational age if you feel the need to traumatize the poor thing more.

can't your pediatrician tell you when to come back and get it done?

yeah I am sure he will. I just havent seen him about it and was curious. My first son was premature as well- a day older actually. He was a bit smaller, too. He stayed in the NIcu for a week and I just dont remember hearing anything about his size, but I also dont remember when they did it, either.

We get it. I am a horrible human being and I must hate my child. I hope you feel better now. You can stop replying to the thread now.
