Its hard to admit for me, but we have been making $1220 a month salary work for about 4 months now. I did 'cave'and get on WIC last month to help...

DH's hours were cut and he and I have been searching for other work but we just had a baby so it was almost impossible to find full time work pregnant. Luckily we had some savings but its pretty much gone now.

The great news is, two full time positions opened up in my company and I am interviewing on Tuesday for one of them! Both locations were excited to haveme apply, hopefully I will get one of them!!

Edit!! HOLY MOLY, YOU GUYS! I went about my day and came back to a featured post with a gazillion replies! Thank you to everyone who wished me luck with the job interviews, I appreciate it! And for those in the same boat or who have been there, I hope you find a turn around as well! (;
So, could you do it? How long could you last if you were making $1220 a month??

If we could find a much cheaper place to rent maybe. But honestly no we couldn't live in this area making that much bc of rent alone.

We live on base, so we don't pay rent, so I could make that work. But good luck landing a job! And don't feel bad for being on WIC, it's there to help.

Hell yeah!
(rent is $550 & bills are $100 for cable/net & $200 for gas/lights & laundry is about $10 a week, so $40 a month. & maybe another $80 for dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, cat food, cat litter, you know odd's & ends stuff.)
Not bad.
