I went to the car to grab dhs debit card. After I was done with it, I gave it directly to him. He set it on the table. We went to a store and realized the debit card was at home.
Who left the debit card at home?

He says I left it at home because I should've put it back in the car

I say he left it because I put it back in his care after ordering his t-shirts.

You should have put it back where you got it, b/c that is where he knew he left it!

My Dh borrows my debit card sometimes when he can't find his.  I tell him to always put it back EXACTLY where he got it.  He has the bad habit of taking it from my wallet, using it, then handing it to me or setting it on the table by my keys.

NO.  Put it back where you found it. That's just common sense :o)

So yes, YOU are the one responsible for it being left behind.

With that said, he should never leave his card in his car.

Uh oh! That would be problem #1 for me.

But, you obviously agree with him, so ill let that go.

It is his fault. HIS debit card, HIS money, HIS responsibility. Nevermind that it was in his possession last.

Ugh, answering this question always starts shit but he doesn't feel that I'm entitled touch the money he works for

Quoting KairisMama:

Why don't you each have a debit card linked to your account? That would have saved this whole mess from starting. ;)

Oh, he's one of those.

Well, if you're not supposed to be touching his money to begin with, the whereabouts of HIS debit card is 100% HIS responsibility!

So you don't think he knew that HE put it on the table?

1. His fault
2. I leave mine in the car too.
3. The bigger issue is him not thinking you're entitled to the money!!
Are you a SAHM?

That's tough. I think you are both equally responsible. You should have put it back where you found it, but it was in his hands last.

Who keeps their debit card in the car? He had it last, he forgot it. He should have put it back after using it. You're not the servant.
