Everyone tells me how tiny my newborn is

And it's frustrating. I don't think he's that tiny and I think he's getting bigger by the day! He's 7 weeks old and I've had strangers ask if I've just got home from the hospital! Numerous of times, like last night at my local pharmacy a woman asked if he was a week old. I don't get it.

People these days think seven pounds is small for a new born.

People assume my baby is younger because he is small. I love it. I want him to stay a baby forever.

When my son was six months old, he was ten pounds. You would not believe the comments we got!

I was told my daughter was tiny until she was about 6 months old. She was 7 pounds 2 oz. when she was born. Smaller than my 8 pound son, sure, but I wouldn't say she was tiny.

How small is he?
Nothing wrong with small babies as long as they are healthy and his pediatrician is not concerned.
My brother in law's daughter is four months old and only 9lbs. TINY. But she is healthy.

People used to be absolutely shocked that my 'tiny baby' could walk and talk...at a year, she was the size of a 4-5 month old, haha...

People just like to talk about babies :)

My baby was born at 4 lb 13 oz... I heard all the time how tiny my baby was... it didn't bother me thought. Why does it bother you?
