Can I drink water?
My throat is killing me!

My Dr said no eating or drinking and I have to do the 3 hour test today. So I'm wondering if I can drink a bottle of water...

Typically yes you can. If it were surgery then no.

Your doctor told you "No eating or drinking" and you're still wondering if you can drink a bottle of water? What part of his "No" was hard to understand? You can probably take a sip of water to wet your throat, but you can't drink a bottle of water.

Don't drink the whole bottle at once. Nothing but sips of water for 8-14 hours before the test

I didn't plan on drinking the whole bottle but I have been waking up lately with a sore throat and needed a sip. I had two sips before I got to the Dr office. Then I chugged that vile ass drink. Bleh.

I passed my first stick test. So yay me. Now to see what my body does with the next 2 hours

Small sips only until the test is done.

I was told water was fine and was offered a bottle while I waited.
