Its very hot and humid today and my dh is upset I turned the AC off because of the rain, thunder and lightning. I was taught to shut it off during storms and he said most people aren't.

Do you shut off AC during a storm that's right above you?

No. I do not ever turn off the air during a storm. I want to still be comfortable when it is hot and humid outside.

My parents always told me to, but I don't now that I'm an adult.

I leave it on. I turn off the computer. If it is a very bad storm, I may even make sure nobody is watching the tv. The a/c stays on though.
