Would you keep him home?

DS (3) woke up with a cough, acting like his throat hurts, fussy, and clingy. He doesn't seem to have a fever, but I'm not home where my thermometer is, I'll check as soon as I get there. He said no when I asked him if he felt ok.

He's nonverbal so he can't tell me how sick or not sick he is.

School. He's in a PPCD program.

I would. I know my kid only acts like that if he is really, really sick.

It can be really REALLY hard to tell with DS. He rarely gets or acts sick,

I was leaning toward keeping him home, but DH thinks I'm crazy.

That kind of how my kid is. The only time he really acted sick he had RSV and ended up in the hospital. I figure if they are not in grade school, where days are counted, its not worth the risk. I would for my peace of mind.

DS has never been severely sick, just sick enough to be miserable. Like last time it was a URI and a double ear infection.

Yes I would. He don't feel good, plus not cool getting others sick too. Wish mode parents left their sick child home.
