If you were PREGNANT and going to DIVORCE dh

I am almost 7 months pregnant with my first boy. I have 3 girls. My husband's name is Thomas Michael the 4th or IV , He wants to name his son after him so he would be Thomas Michael V but im not so sure.... if we were going to stay married then fine but since Im divorcing it might be hard and a constant reminder of my failed marriage to name him after his father. Of course I will still give him his last name, which is currently still mine.

I like the name Evan.... what would YOU do???

Why are you divorcing? Will he be there when you give birth? Those answers would factor in on my decision.

No he will not be there, which is fine by me. One of the main reasons we are divorcing is he was physically violent with me about a month ago. I did not call the cops because I did not want them involved, I just choose to seperate from him. We both want a divorce. things have been bad for a while now

I would for the sake of the kid, it sounds like it is a tradition and I like tradition! I like feeling connected to my ancestors or ancestry, I would be mad if my mom didn't give me that piece of history!

I would keep with tradition and let the kid have his dads name. It's his child too, not just yours.

Absolutely not. It's your child too not just his. And he lost any input after being violent.

I am not a fan of Jrs, and etc... so I wouldn't say yes to that either way. Evan Thomas sounds nice.
