My kids are almost 3 and almost 6, they always wanted to drink soda but im not comfortable with it, so is tea ok? They drink juices and milks as well but usually me and my husband have tea with dinner.

Really they should be drinking 70% water, 20% milk, 10% juice.

We don't let our kids drink soda, we don't keep it in the house. We let them have iced tea when we go out to eat but again, we don't keep it in the house. They drink hot tea occasionally.

Oh and at 3 years old, it was water, milk and limited juice. Nothing else.

My 17 month old had tea when he was 8 months old. The er doctor said if he could keep it down to let him have it. But other than that he drinks juice and water.

Why? How is tea a substitute for soda! Get some carbonated flavored water or something.

I drank tea growing up! My mom never added sugar, my step moms is southern style sweet tea. I love my tea with no sugar and thats how my kids drink it. I wouldnt give it to them at night being it has caffine but uncaffinated maybe.

My kids were not allowed to have soda and tea at all, anything with lots of sugar and caffeine. However they started getting soda in small moderation over summer and had sweet tea for the first time today. They're 6 and 7.

Unless it's from Long Island I don't see why not.
