Not at all. My father refused to acknowledge my existance until I had to have major surgery when I was 16. We've had a good decade and a half since than but I feel like it's going to be over soon dueto his girlfriend's attitude towards his children.

I was. Up until I was 16 and he cheated on my mom and ran off with the other woman. My mom got a phone call weeks before their 18th anniversary telling her tha the was in Reno, had filed for divorce and she needed to come sign the papers. That was 26 years ago, I have not seen or spoken to him in....you guessed it 26 years.

Edit    27 years

No.

My father was not around when I was growing up. Although when he was I was.

No way!! My father was a drunk and didn't care how we lived and if we had food. I was a mommies girl. She got us away from him. She supported us by herself. She had four daughters and supported all by herself. Even though today is ten months, since we had her funeral, she was and always will be my hero.

Nope. I grew up without a father. I was a total mommy's girl.
