My "f*** it! I don't care" moment in Walmart...

Df and I went to Walmart yesterday to waste time while waiting for his check to go through and he wanted to buy the new gta5. I had my newborn with me who is ebf. He started to get hungry, so I pulled out my nursing cover and began to feed him. Difficult as fuck because there was no where I could find sit and I cant properly latch ds when I have the cover because it gets in the way. At that point, he was screaming from frustration. I finally said, "fuck it...I tried." Took off the cover, lifted my shirt, latched ds, covered my breast with the shirt and ds' head. Worked perfectly. No one cared, or seemed to notice that he was feeding. Just lots of "aweeee look at the baby! " comments.

I never managed walking and nursing and my 3 babies all nursed past 13 months.

It is the cover that draws attention not a nursing mom imo.

I see myself doing this more in the future too. That cover is just one big frustration and my second son likes to pull on it. Df was shocked at me though, told me he couldnt believe how calm with whipping it out I was, haha.

Been there Haha. Our malls nursing station is a bathroom (seriously.. Its in the family bathroom. Hard stone chair/bench and you stare right at a toilet).

However the walmart i go to (we have two locally) has an amazing nursing station with a big plush chair. I didn't even care about nursing in public but i just lived their station Haha

It was definitely a challenge, but once I finally got him latched, it was just like cradling him. My arms wanted to fall off though..

I never covered. No one ever noticed. i used the two shirt method and I could latch a baby in three seconds flat. Lmao.

Good job mama!

*shrug* personally, I've never actually seen someone nurse before in real life, cover or not.
