I screwed up

Dd9 had a bad morning of kicking and screaming. She does this everymorning but today was really bad. After she tried to slam the front door I ran after her smacked her butt which was extremely padded. I told her you can go back in side. She said I just want to go to school. I told her no more slamming doors. She said sorry. I stood up turned around and there was a lady coming up the street. I'm not sure how much she saw but as soon as I spanked her I realized That was the wrong move but it was too late to take it back and now I'm scared this l lady saw it and sd talked to her at the bus stop or something. I love my kids and I make mistakes like all humans but I'm worried now that this huge mistakes is going to cost me something.

Ds would've gotten that, and a lesson on how to properly close doors- 10 times. That's how he learned to not stomp his overgrown feet when going up or down the stairs.

It depends, I'm in va and here you're allowed to spank your child as long as you use you open hand and don't leave any welts, bruises, or break the skin. Relax

You smacked her with your hand on her butt?  I wouldn't be worried.

No big deal. Now if you had a belt then I'd be concerned. Plus its none of her business. Relax.

I am sure shes done the same thing.  Or at least thought about doing it.

Kids are kids. They all love to push buttons. I wouldn't worry.
