Do you have a no shoes policy in your home?

We've just decided to implement a no shoes in the house policy though I'm not sure how well we will keep to that because we've never had a no shoes in the house rule.

Do you think putting a bench with 'cubbies' by the front door would be helpful?

Lol let me clarify, the no shoe policy is for me, my son, and my fiancé. Not guests. I'd never ask guests to take their shoes off.

We don't have a policy but everyone usually takes off their shoes by the front door.  About once a week I'll end up throwing them in their room so they can be put away.  Why are you starting this?  Do you have carpet all over?  My entire house is tiled.

Carpet everywhere but the kitchen and bathroom, I just spent my entire weekend cleaning the carpets last week and I'd really like them to stay clean.

We have wood floors and a dog, so I don't care if people wear shoes. I did however care a lot that DH kept putting his under the barstools in the kitchen until there were 5 or 6 pairs. We now have a bench with cubbies underneath it where shoes must be left if they are taken off.

Ive tried it to no avail. My house now is all tile except for the bedrooms so I don't worry about it.

We wear shoes rite now bc we live with my parents and my mom has a dog that let her business go wherever she wants to. and l had rather wash shoes than to wash poop off the kids feets. its gross.
