My son is in 5th grade this year. That is Intermediate, here (5th and 6th). Today a kid ran up to him in PE and clawed his eye. Completely unprovoked. That kid went to the office. Normally I'm off the mindset that things happen and the school is dealing with it. My my son said this same kid has stabbed someone with a pencil and scratched another kid. All unprovoked. I am not a happy camper.

Pics in replies. He's lucky his actual eye wasn't hurt.

ETA - I'm glad to see that I'm not overreacting. The pictures don't seem to look as bad as it does in person.

You can call, but all you will get is a patented answer. The principal can not release anything pertaining to the other student to you.

Yeowch! I'm glad his actual eye wasn't damaged! If this kid has attacked before, something needs to be done about it, with professionals. No 'normal' child just randomly lashes out at others. Something is causing these outbursts.
