Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

My daughter just sat in the porch and cried until she threw up.

She just got over being sick for 5 days and I guess she's not feeling 100% better yet because she was having a melt down over the front door being unlocked already when we got home. I handed her my keys when we got out of the car but my oldest was already home so the door was unlocked. I'm such a bad mom I just went inside shut the screen and let her throw her fit outside.

She was upset about the door not being locked? Why?

LOL it's not near enough fun to throw a fit if no one is watching.

Because she wanted to unlock it. And she's still not feeling great and she's 5

You're a nicer mom than me, we punish for tantrums in my house. We send the kids to their rooms until they can act in a calm manner and use their words to express themselves. If she would have barfed in there I would've made her clean it up before going to bed. So at least she doesn't have to deal with me lol!!

Yeah when I went inside and shut the screen she yelled "you're leaving me out here!?" I sure as heck wasn't going to drag her inside it was much quieter for her to be outside.

Yeah she sounds like a spoiled brat. I have a five year old and would never allow her to behave that way...

The puking part isn't funny but the fit and the reason are. Sorry lol

my 5yr old almost died when the apple remote for our Apple TV stopped working this morning. She watches cartoons while she eats before school and I take that time to get dressed...she runs in the room crying her eyes out "the....the *sniff* remoooooote it won't woooooork" *insane amounts of tears* I was like "really? You're crying oer cartoons? No. Calm down. It's too early for this BS" hahaha

Kids have melt downs over stupid thing when they're tired, or hungry, or sick. I do the same thing. Ignore. They stop, we move on with our lives.

Fortunately, we have passed melt down age, for the most part.

This. And if she did behave like that, I wouldn't be announcing it to the world. That is two year old behavior imo.
