Stranger bops your kid on the head...what would you do?
We were at our Homecoming football game tonight, in VIP seating that we paid $100.00 sponsorships for. My DD 7 had cheered the first half, (which was her section, she was done) and was sitting with us watching the second half. The lady behind us was SCREAMING the entire time, and while we were all enthusiastic and cheering, it was screaming right in our ears. One time my DD just turned her head to look at her, and this woman took her rolled up program and hit my DD over the head! When I turned around, with just a look, the woman said "it is just paper, it is not going to hurt her!" I just said to her "Do not touch my child!", got up and went to a seperate section. Did I over react? I do not think anyone should touch a stranger's child, especially striking them...regardless of whether or not it hurt!
