Party Invitations

DD's bday is on the 10th (Thurs), but we'll be celebrating on the 12th (Sat).
I want the parents to have enough time to schedule her party into their weekend plans.

Edited-
When would you prefer to receive a party invitation? 2-3 weeks in advance, the Friday BEFORE or Monday, the week of?

I think either or would be fine...  I've gotten some the week of, and some the week before...  I would prefer the week before, but its not usually a huge deal

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, but I'm just wondering if they'll forget by the following week.

The week before that's what I did.

I send them out 2-3 weeks before and put the RSVP date one week before to give myself time to chase people.

I prefer at least two weeks notice. We're a busy family and if I get an invitation to something five days before it happens, we're not likely to be going to the event.

Around here, we do them 2 weeks in advance. NEVER send invites the week of the event if it can be helped.

Fridays/weekends are always more hectic for me, so there would be a good chance I would misplace or forget about the invitation lol. So my vote is for that Monday. I was actually just trying to decide this about my daughters party coming up in a few weeks.
