Bringing a dog to the bus stop, what's your take?

For me, I find it rude to bring a dog to the bus stop where 10 kids are and you don't know if they have allergies. Not to mention if you cause a public safety concern because your dog isn't on a leash.

Lady brought her dog to the bus stop this morning. My neighbors little girl is allergic and walked away . Problem was, the dog wasn't in a leash. Then the owner proceeds to allow the animal to run in and out of traffic. The kids screamed at one point when the dog gets within inches of being hit.

So, whats your take on bringing pets to a bus stop?

Dog should be kept at home or on a leash at all times.

If I had a dog then yes I would. Its public property ppl can bring their dogs wherever they want.

Sure they should be leashed unless its in an unleashed allowed zone. But otherwise dog owners can do what they want.

dogs need exercise and fresh air too, the dog should be leashed though.

IMO the issue isn't bringing the dog, it's not having the dog leashed.

If it were leashed and behaved, I'd have no problem.

I think the issue here is the dog not being on a leash. Its silly to think a dogshouldnt be at a busstop.

If it is well behaved and on a leash I am fine with it.

If its leashed, i dont see the issue.  If someone has an allergy, they can do what that girl did, walk away.  Everyone with allergies cant expect to be catered to.  Im allergic to cats, if im going to someones home that has them, i take a pill, i dont put it on the pet owner to deal with my problem.

Forget about the bus stop, it annoys the heck out of me when people bring their dogs to the school yard at pick up time.  They all start barking at each other and I find it a safety issue. Why is it even necessary?
