My 7 yr old wants to ride her bike around the block or up & down the street.
We live in town & do have a sidewalk that she rides her bike on (just right in front of our house) One city lot. It breaks my heart watching her try to ride her bike... peddle 3 times, stop, turn, peddle 3 times, stop, turn......
I'm really regretting getting her bike because she can't go on bike rides. We do live in a small town but we also have a lot of registered sex offenders. Kids are snatched off their bikes all the time, how is it parents can let their kids ride their bikes around their neighborhoods?
I remember when I was a kid I rode my bike all over town.... I loved he feeling of flight & freedom... the wind in my hair and the sun on my back. My mom often packed me a sack lunch & I put my doll in the basket with my lunch & I was on the road or field all day long.
EDIT: "all the time" = figure of speech
