Could you? Would you?

My husband is sick and has been his whole life. He's been diagnosed with IBS, EDS, (fatigue) low testosterone, OCD, ADD, and he used ot have high blood pressure.

I believe the issue is in his gut and that he has one thing wrong with him but we've been to so many doctors and it's hard to get any of them on board with this theory. So we had some choices, we could continue to medicate all the symptoms and deal with the side effects, keep going to doctors and try to convince someone to shove a camera up his butt, or take matters in to our own hands and put DH on an elimination diet.

He doesn't like veggies much, but he said he'd do it. I'm not going to have him go through it alone, and I want to remove temtation from the home.

So we will all be going on a raw vegan diet in two weeks. We will eat this way for 30 days, maybe more.

I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old. It should be interesting.

Would you? Could you?

Sure, I would do anything if it would make my husband get better. It's a healthy lifestyle anyway, so why not?

I wouldn't have the kids do it.

If I thought a short term change would help....I'd try it but I wouldn't make my kids do it.

Whatever his issue is, if we find it then that will be how we all eat from now on. I just know in those weak moments it would be really easy to eat some of the kids food if it's in the house.

No. I do not think a raw vegan diet is healthy.

I hope so too. It's a start anyway.

Interesting, what do you think it lacks?
