Landlord using our house for their vacation!

Our landlord is building a guest house in the back. She just informed us yesterday that she and any guest that uses the guest house will be given access to our laundry room so they can use the bathroom, shower and she's building a kitchenette in there too. I guess she can't get plumbing to the guest house. She will also be tying in the electricity to our box and we are just suppose to pay for any the guest house uses.

We pay some of the highest rent around. I will not be sharing my house with strangers! Not only does the laundry room contain our only shower, it also has over $10k of my husbands tools in it. She expects us just to be ok with this. I'm pretty sure this has to be against the law. This was not in our lease!

Would you be ok with this?!?

**edit- We are definitely looking for another place. Kicker is we just moved in Aug 1st!!

That is illegal and highly dangerous with the wiring. Time to move mama.

Hell no. That's definitely not legal. Time to look into moving (which was probably her intention the entire time)

I would tell her no, and then start looking for another place to live.
