You're ridiculous! You're probably just looking for an excuse to not buy candy.

It's a commercialized day for children to dress up and get candy from neighbors. They are offered a friendly socialization time out in the neighborhood. Let them have fun and enjoy their childhood.

It is what you make of it.  Many Christian holidays have pagan origins.  Halloween can be fun without the scariness.

What does "satan's holiday" have to do with you not wanting to spend money?

Psh. Any day that allows my children to go door to door and beg for candy that I will end up eating is ok by me.

You should let then dress up so the evil spirits don't possess them!

Kidding about the last part
