I grew up in a Duggar-like home

I don't know how many people have but I have.

My parents were "We will have as many blessings as God provides us" they had 9 before my mom had a uterine rupture.

They were debt free.

We took care of the little ones and were homeschooled.

We had a lot of chores

My dad was our "authoritarian" and his authoritarian was God.

We didn't court, we weren't required to have escorts but my dad had final say in if we could date. which growing up we really weren't exposed to other people not like us so naturally he didn't object to many of them, which there weren't anyway.

We dressed modestly; girls in dresses or skirts.

How i live my life now is vastly different. I only have 2 kids. I got a tubal. My husband is not my authoritian and his is definetly not God. We have a mortgage debt and a car loan. I don't make my children do anything more than cleaning their room and their bathroom and feeding the pets. My kids are in public school and my daughter can wear pants.

Growing up my parents drove me nuts!!! I sometimes watch the duggars because I see myself in those kids sometimes, especially the ones who make faces after their parents talk or during interviews..I thought my dad was the dumbest guy around town sometimes, still do but I also still look to him as an authoritarian. I know that sounds weird but true.

anyway. just wanted to get that out. I was thumbing threw netflix and caught it in the new episode list and made me chuckle. I was duggar like at one point.

I don't think all of them will go along with that life once they ever get to leave that house.

OH and i also have a brother like Josh Duggar, he is the biggest POS dirtbag. He's arrogant and treats his wife like crap. Makes me wonder if JOsh is like my brother in all aspects..if so I feel badly for Anna and no i don't have contact with him or his family.

Don't get me wrong I like the show and some of what I see. but,I am so against kids rasing kids. and that is what the hell is going on. those kids did not ask to be born and used as care givers.
