No. I live way down south. It is hot and humid. My 8 year old is like me, we are easily overheated.  If there were no such things as air conditioners, I would have to move to a cooler state. 

I lived in Southern California for many years with no a/c. It just depends on where you live.

Yes. I survived into adulthood without ever having one, DD surely could.

Yup. One summer a few years ago, we were relocating, and we were in a small apartment while we house hunted. It had free AC. Aside from that, in the 17 years my oldest has been around, that was the only time we had it.

Yes, we had to for a nit this Sumner during our hottest time. We found ways to stay cool. Just like I did for many years.

October in Texas. Yea she can. She prefers her ceiling fan and ice water anyway.

Me to for that matter, we never have a problem keeping our home cool now that I think about it.

we did all summer. but it only gets above 38c here a few times in the summer

Yeah we could. We don't have central air. Just a roll around window unit and fans in the bedrooms. But it's also unusual for us to have really really hot days. We have them but it never lasts more than three or four days.
