I want to get a bunch of pumpkins this year to carve and I was just wondering how the two compare cost-wise? Quality-wise?

How much are pumpkins where you live??

Patch pumpkins cost more because of the experience i think.  Theres usually activities involved when you go pick out your pumpkin.

Even if the patch is more expensive, it's worth it because it's FUN!

Where I live the pumpkin patch is cheaper. They had all you can carry for $20 we got 6 pumpkins and it cost us about $3.33 a pumpkin

Ours are .49/pound at the pumpkin patch. My kids will pick their carving pumpkin from there. I got my decorating pumpkins for $2.29 at aldi. The suckers are huge. They are great quality, they are actually from a field about 2 miles from my house!

You go to a pumpkin patch for the experience, because the cost is always going to be much higher than the corner grocery store.

I go to both places lol.   I take the kids to a pumpkin patch and do all the activities and let them pick their own pumpkins from the patch.  Then I buy more pumpkins from the store to sit around.

Pumpkin patches cost more.

I got a jumbo pumpkin from Sams club for $10. It's the one in my profile picture.

I go to the patch for the experience. I buy small gourds at the grocery store.
