Should I be concerned?

This is DS's drawing of his family. He's 4. I notice other kids in his class have pictures that actually look like what they should.

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but I wouldn't worry. My DD was still drawing random shapes at 4, but drawing very complicated things less than a year later. Age 4 is a big learning year, imo.

No need to worry, he will get better. My kids drawings were like this at that age and by the time they started kindergarten they were drawing stick figures.

My youngest was like this. He 'a in K now, but last year, his drawing and coloring took a huge leap. He went from scribbles to coloring in the lines and people from blobs to actually looking like people. I was worried, his brother is 7 and is an amazing artist. He informed me the other day that he would be the best 'drawer' in the 2nd grade. He is good. I wouldn't worry until after he's 5, it's a big year of development.
