Jumping spider?

Is there such thing as a jumping spider? I could swear this thing was a spider but when I went to smoosh it. It jumped quite a distance then did it again. It didn't look like a grass hopper. My dog also can't catch it and now she is freaking searching for it. Omg it was nasty it was on my bed.

I hate those suckers, they come out alot in the fall. Any type of bug spray works on them..also any cleaning supplies you might have like bathroom cleaner or windex or what not can slow them down so you can throw the biggest book you have on top of it..and then wait for DH or someone to come and clean it!
