Most fascinating feud in the grocery store!

Posted by   + Show Post
I'll keep this basic . Lady with food stamps is buying her groceries and gets very upset as something went wrong and her money didn't recycle today like it was supposed to.. She was upset but appropriate with the cashier as they were trying to figure out who to call etc.. She had a lot of groceries. Any way the women behind her happened to be a federal employee that works at a local scientific lab (WHOI) She completely loses it! Screaming at the women for not being grateful for the help as she isn't getting paid and she has a job etc.

They both had great points and really in the end both will feel bad as they weren't bad people. It ended with the police hauling off the federal employee because she started it and she was pretty vocal.

It was really sad to see but an interesting commentary on the way things are right now. We have many federal employees out if work in my immediate area from WHOI

Edit: the federal employee did not get arrested. It was a precautionary measure. When my husband returned home from work I told him what happened and who the parties were. He ended up calling the brother of the federal women, as he is friendly enough through work with him, to check on her. Apparently many things all happened at the same time and something just triggered her outburst. Her husband made contact with the food stank women to make amends. The federal lady apologized and explained the circumstances etc.. It apparently went well enough that the so ladies are going to go to lunch as they actually have common issues.

That's all I know but it sounds like something good came out of it.

It really sounds like you are the one whom is angry lady. You contradict yourself so many times. I am expressing my opinion which is just that... an opinion. If you take that as anger well sorry. I'm not angry at all. I was just trying express a opinion and you took it to me being dramatic. However your staments are pretty dramatic.

Quoting BEXi:

I don't know this lady. Do you? I'm fairly certain she doesn't know me either.you're freaking out over my opinion. Which is just that.. an opinion. Please deep breath and click the X

Quoting Anonymous:

Hahahahahaha your funny. Dramatic, no. Just saying you jumping to that lady losing her job and kicking her why she is down isn't right. You posted it I have a right to comment on it. Don't like it and want to call it dramatic oh well. Your being dramatic by jumping to saying about that lady losing her job. To me that is dramatic.

Quoting BEXi:

What is it? Dramatic Anonymous day today? I think I missed the memo. :(

Quoting Anonymous:

Right now I'm not talking about that lady. I'm talking about you. You do not show compasion but just jump to that lady getting fired. I already said that lady was totally wrong. You still can show compassion to know she isn't getting paid. Yet you fail to see that. Her karma already caught up with her for her behavior since the police had to come. And yes it is a mistake wether you want to see it or not.

I feel bad for both sides. It's sad all the way around. Just saying. You don't have to like it. It saddens me that people don't hold enough compassion.

Quoting BEXi:

Screaming erratically until she got escorted out by law enforcement is more than just a mistake. Lol

Show compassion? Like that lady did for the poor mother on foodstamps? Oh wait.

If this opinion shocked you.. you must not get out much..

Quoting Anonymous:

But still it is inconsiderate. To jump to her losing her job. Nothing like wishing ill fate on someone for making a mistake. It is sad what is going on right now. Try showing compasion for both sides. Yes it wasn't right the lady flipped on the other lady. At least try to understand both sides. It is sad all the way around what is going on. And I'm not flipping on you. Heck not even mad. Just shocked that it went to the losing her job route. :(

Quoting BEXi:

You act loke my opinion has any relevance over what happens to this employee. Chill dude. I'm not the one who has the power to fire her ignorant rude ass.

Quoting Anonymous:

Wow, while it wasn't right what she did it doesn't require you saying for her to lose her job. I can understand why that lady felt that way. Doesn't make it right though.

My hubby is out of work because of the government shutdown. He won't get back pay like the federal worker because he works for a company that is not part of the government but handles government contracts. The government is overlooking us. So yeah I can completally understand the hostilaty about it. Did it make it right? No. But ask yourself does saying she should get fired for a emotional outburst make you right. Way to kick her why she is down.

Quoting BEXi:

That employee was in the wrong. Maybe she will lose her job for beong so unprofessional.

My my.. aren't you persistent? Do you forget you were the one who quoted me first demanding I should have sympathy for this crazy lady?

Yeah.. I'm so dramatic. Back to folding laundry :P

After tomorrow, my Dad will also be working for free. He had to sign something saying we will continue to work and not get paid...and he may or may not be back paid. This has really nothing to do with the post - just saying there is a chance she won't get paid twice.

Quoting Anonymous:

The federal employee at least is going to get unemployment as well as her back pay once the shut down is over, so she is going to get paid twice. She really had no right to go off on someone who isn't as fortunate.

It was a news story on the television this morning, that it may not happen that the state re-coops the monies. Since this is a Federal problem the states would have to go against the Federal government and it can be tricky. So they were surmising that it's very likely they get to keep their money.

Quoting silverdawn99:

They are not allowed to get unemployment. If they do they have to pay every single cent back

When I was on PA, I called before I went to the store...just in case there was a problem.

1 mom liked this
Everyone on welfare is a loser? What about someone who had to take care of a dying spouse and has children to take care of. Are they a loser because they need help for a couple of months to get back on their feet?

Quoting Anonymous:

Yeah, I can't stand those welfare losers either.  They obviously hauled off the wrong person.

It depends on what job they have.. Many can apply for unemployment if they aren't working and aren't going to recoup pay.

Well if you don't approve of name calling you should probably not call people losers, asshole.

Quoting Anonymous:

No need for name calling.  (Typical CafeMom response, lol)

I'm allowed to state my opinion just like everyone else.

Have a great day!

Quoting mommy_me:

Well aren't you just a lost little troll who has wondered off from your bridge
