Am I the only mom who doesn't let that crap in the house? I haven't had cable in YEARS, infact I am thinking of selling the TV.

If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at al!!

I don't think it's crap. It's funny that you say if you have nothing nice to say, to not say anything.... lol

Nope i allow them. But they get maybe an hour a day. I like the benefits that can come with them.

I used to be that way with video games, but not anymore.

We have tv and video games for when we don't have other stuff going on but we stay pretty busy. I am of the opinion that everyone needs some off time every now and then. With two kids who are very involved and straight A students I deem it ok to let them have some veg time from time to time. However I do not agree with those who let tv and video games raise their kids.

Oh thats just silly. Nothing wrong with a child enjoying some down time with a video game, lol.

Oh and maybe you should take your own advice..

Honestly, I dont blame you for that choice and see why one would not want it around. :)

We're gamers so I have no issue. My oldest dd bought her own DS, but does not play it very often. My youngest is getting a DS XL from her Grands for Christmas. I have an XL, and we have an XBOX 360 with Kinect, PS3 and of course our computers, a tablet and smart phones for DH and myself.

If it works for you not to have it, go for it!

So they can't watch tv or play video games but you can troll around on CM whenever you want?  What's up with that?
