I've googled and googled and can't figure out what this is. I noticed some brown patches on my sons scalp today while combing his hair. Any idea what this may be? With a little scratching of the comb it does come off. But there is a lot of patches of it. UPDATE; WE USED HEAD AND SHOULDERS AND SCRUBBED AND IT WENT AWAY!

1 mom liked this
Cradle cap.
You can use mineral and a fine bristled comb to get it off, but it isn't harmful and will go away on it's own eventually.

Looks like when ds had cradle cap, I would pick it off but his hair came with it. Pedi said to leave it be, it will go away on its own....6 months later, looked just like that.

Cradle cap. It's especially common in light haired babies/toddlers.

There's a ton of treatments for it that are all pretty effective.

can't see very well, but if browny white/grayish - cradle cap

If whitish/reddish - psoriasis
