It is my choice and no, I am not going to tell out respite workers/baby-sitters about it.  It isn't in the bathroom where they pee.  So, it isn't an invasion of privacy.  Plus, how many times do you find out about an abuse case where the parents "never would have thought that so and so would do that. Especially having a special needs daughter, I want to make sure she is being treated properly.

I'd do the same thing. If I had to leave my DD with someone every day I would want to know what went on here with her.

Shit, if I could do that I would.

Why not? I got one because my landlord kept coming in and "borrowing" stuff when I was gone. I was living in a shared house, but each floor was supposed to be secure for the tenant. She was batshit crazy. It let me have leverage against her. And I would for babysitters too. Not in the bathroom, but in living areas, and baby's room and maybe the kitchen.

I see no issue by it nor would I mind if I was babysitting and the homeowner had one(as long as its not in inappropriate places like the bathroom). Why should I worry or care if im doing what im suppose to do while there?

Why do you have people in your home you can't completely trust with your child?

I think it's a smart idea. Too bad if people don't like it, it's not their home or their child.
