Shaving. My DD is 8 and wants to start shaving and is mad at me because I wont let her. I wasn't allowed to shave until I was in middle school. My SD who is almost 13 started shaving at 11 when she started middle school(not my doing but BM). At what age would you let your DD start shaving?

When she wants too. Just buy one of those electric shavers so she doesn't cut her legs all to shreds! lol I got one from Target for about 20 bucks and I love it.

Well that's many many many years from now, I'll deal with it when the issue arises, but I won't talk about it till she starts asking,

My husband's 9 year old niece shaves, she is really hairy and it embarrasses her.

Why do these damn girls want to shave their legs for? Are they trying to attract a man to date or marry? Are they on a swim team that requires them to shave? Do they need to look sexy in that new mini skirt or bikini? Most likely not. So what is the purpose? She's 8!

I would let her, with an electric razor.

My DD's started when they wanted to. My oldest (now 15) started at 10 and my youngest now (13) started at 12.

I started at 10. I agree with the electric razor.

Depends on the kid... is there a real need for it?

I started shaving young because I had dark hair and played a lot of sports where shorts were required.

Is she a responsible child? Is she being teased?

Dd is 7 and when she asks those are the questions I will take into consideration...
