Colic.... I'm about ready to give up

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
How did you mothers of children with colic make it? This is week 2 and I'm just about ready to just say f*** it..... nothing I do works and I'm so tired. I just don't know what to do besides cry while the baby sits and screams.... help please?

** you ladies have given great tips. Sorry to bolt, but I've found something that works (tonight) so I'm going to try to get a few mins of sleep. Thank you all!

Is it available for ebooks?

What is a soother?

The only thing that helped my daughter was aloe vera juice. I put a small amount in the cap of her bottle and she drank it. I once went 72 hours with no sleep. I was about to crack at that point.

Put the baby down, let her cry and go to another room. Also, find someone to take her for a few hours like your mom. Break down and get a soother. I tried going without one and it was one of the best things I bought.

The only thing that helped my daughter was changing her formula (we changed to soy) & gripe water. We had to use it a lot but it really helped. Hope it gets better! Colic is rough stuff!

I don't know, I never had to use it myself but I have friends that swear by it.

Does the off brand work as well? I've been using that, but not name brand.

Quoting 3MusketeerMama:

Try the babywearing and there's also drops called gripe water or colic calm that you can find at Walgreens or CVS and they are OTC.

Quoting Anonymous:

I have tried all but white noise

Quoting 3MusketeerMama:

Have you tried swaddling, laying her on her tummy, and wearing her? White noise when she sleeps?

Quoting Anonymous:

She's 2 months. I'm formula feeding. I've tried switching 3 times and no change.

Quoting 3MusketeerMama:

I don't know, I have a hard copy. How old is baby? Are you breast or formula feeding?

Quoting Anonymous:

Is it available for ebooks?
