How much money do you need to have in the bank before you start to worry?

Why would you be worried? Or uneasy ? Or wouldn't care.

Your question is kind of all over the place.  I like to have at least $2000 in the checking account, or I get antsy.

$500. Less than that and I start to worry about every dime we spend.

I like to have $5000 in the checking account, just for comfort.

Depends on the time of the month, whether I just sent bills out or if DH is getting ready to be paid. But between checking and short term savings I like to have at least $4000 at all times

Any less than $5,000 will send us into panic mode.

I don't keep much in checking. Just enough to pay the bills for the month. I do keep a $500 cushion but I have other funds in savings.

in checking or savings?  That makes a difference.  I don't like to go below 5k in checking and savings we are at 60k , but definitely need more.

Less than $50. I hate being poor.

I think it's interesting all the PA posts and all the "poor me" posts but everyone freaks if they don't have thousands. Something isn't adding up lol
