Oh look. Walmart is Stuck with the Bill...

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Just as they should be. Down in the article you'll see that other stores in the area were refusing EBT cards until the limits were evident again. Perhaps Walmart should have taken the hint. Now they're stuck with a huge bill...poor babies.

I am no fan of walmart but the people who took advantage knew what they were doing was wrong. They should have their overages garnished until paid back or face criminal charges.

Am I the only person that can see a tiny bit of karma being thrown at the greedy fucking Walmart? But I still expect that the EBT account holders will be held responsible for the funds.

That is fucked up of those people who took advantage of the system like that. They should be sanctioned until whatever was not meant for them is paid back.

People would not go hungry if they followed the 50.00 limit procedure. It was a temporary problem

They knew this would happen. They knew they would take the loss. They did it so people would not go hungry. Ffs.

Ya it's all walmart's fault and the lazy thieving moochers shouldn't be blamed at all.  Too bad all the welfare kings and queens can't swarm that fast when they hear about job openings!  Those moochers stole from walmart,  plain and simple!

They have theft insurance, and I'm pretty sure their insurance company will be the ones really footing the bill.  Plus, they are likely going to hire a company to find the biggest offenders and chase them down.  So yeah, Walmart isn't out much.  The insurance company might raise premiums, but for a mega business like them, it's not going to be a huge deal.  Raise the price of gum one penny at all the stores and it'll be covered.

So who needs 700 bucks worth of groceries in one night so they don't go hungry?
