Grown Woman Arrested for Posing as Teen to Seduce 14-Year-Old Boy

by April Daniels Hussar

Naomi DixonHere's a new twist on all those depressing teacher sex scandals in the news lately: A 31-year-old Florida woman has been arrested on charges that she pretended to be a teenager to have sex with a 14-year-old boy.

The boy says he met Naomi Dixon at a party, where he says she told him she was 17. He says he gave his own age as 14. They allegedly had sex that very night.

Dixon has been charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery involving a sex act with a child. Not only did she allegedly have sex with this kid on at least eight occasions, but he says she also tried to lock him in her home more than once and became violent when he tried to leave. Oh and also? He says she tried to carve his initials into her arm.

What a nightmare, right? This is the part that I find heartbreaking: The kid says he finally told his parents about his new "friend" because he was tired of Dixon trying to force him to stay at her house. Can you even imagine how confused and overwhelmed he must have been? If I was his mom, and this all turns out to be true, I'd want to strangle this woman.

When she was arrested, Dixon reportedly first denied having sex with the minor, but then changed her story and said she thought he was 18. Oh boy.

It's so hard to imagine the mindset of someone like this, isn't it? If these allegations are true, does it mean that she's just a sick person who is only attracted to kids? Or is she trying to somehow relive her own teenage years? Maybe she didn't get enough attention from boys back when she actually WAS a teenager and this is a twisted and bizarre way of making up for it ...

Ug. Who knows. Time will tell if the charges stick, but if Dixon is found guilty, it's certainly not the first time an adult used trickery and manipulation to take advantage of a vulnerable young person. And, sadly, it won't be the last.

What do you think an appropriate punishment for a crime like this would be?

It's not "pedophilia" in either case.  Pedophilia is an attraction to prepubescent children and does not necessary imply being acted upon.  This is what's called "statutory rape" although the trying to lock him in makes it sound more like real rape, if that part is true.

Jail time for sure... Why should it be any different than any other pedaphile??! What is wrong with people?! What because she is a woman?! That is just as sick as it being a grown man and teenage girl...

Prison. She is a pedophile and if she was a man, she'd be lynched. It's a disgusting double standard! I have a 13 year old son and if someone did this to him, I'd probably be the one in jail.

Either way, and whatever the proper legal term may be, she preyed on a minor and tried to lock him in her house. Lied to him about her age to convince him to have sex with her... If a man did this to a teenage girl, no one would question what the punishment should be. It's disgusting. If a woman did this to my son, I'd probably be the one in jail, and her six feet under...

Statutory rape.

She's a child predator and rapist and should be treated as such.

She lied to the boy, tried to hold him prisoner and is practically ocd enough to be his mom and you think that should be legal? I am 35, should I be allowed to troll around my sons middle school looking for a boyfriend? I'm sorry but any country who says sleeping with a kid less than half your age is ok is a sick society. I am the mom of boys and I am tired of the double standard. If a 31 year old man tricked, imprisoned and had sex with a 14 year old girl you would probably be calling for life in prison.

You are as sick as this woman for thinking what she did should be legal.

I think the age of consent should be 14, as it is in many other countries, so it wouldn't be a crime.

Well even if he was 18 she is a grown adult woman that pretended to be a teenager to meet up an dhave sex with a child. she is 31 not 18 or 17, she should have known better than to do this, So I think her punishment should be the same as a man that posed as an underage teen that did the same thing and he goes to prison for several years. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE !!!

Me too. Isn't the double standard fun? Girls get protected but to hell with the boys. I am so sick of that! I would probably end up in prison because there would be no defending what I would do to someone who lured my kid with lies then tried to lock them up and had sex with them. I would probably spend the test of my life in jail but that's just me.

So you would b totally fine with some 30 something year old man having sex with your 14 year old daughter???? That is beyind fucked up. You are the reason their is so much teen rape out here, parents who don't give a crap about their kids and who don't want to have to be a parent. No man will ever touch my daughters and get away with it until they are adults. This is beyond sick. It doesn't matter if its male or female child, it is a CHILD. Who deserves to be protected from people like that woman, and apparently people like you.
