My dd just did a very scary thing..

My one year old dd was sleeping in bed next to me and all of a sudden she starts crawling to the edge of the bed! I'm glad I caught her in time she was half way off the bed! I'm shocked and confused. Didn't even cry or open her eyes! Normal shed wake up peek around to find me and snuggle up next to me.

Might be time to move your bed up against a wall or move her to a crib

Maybe she thought you weren't in bed? My daughter goes to the guard rail first thing she wakes up. Doesn't even bother to look for me...and I'm like right there next to her.

She only sleeps next to me if she's not feeling well

No she always peeks and if I'm not there she'll sit up and cry

Mine did that in the middle of the night, snuck right off the end. Our mattress is on the floor, and she sleeps between me and the wall. It scared me to death. So I spent every free minute of the next week showing her how to get down. If she's gonna make a run for it, I figure I'd teach her how to do it safely.

She should be sleeping in a crib.

Mine would come to bed with me sometimes so I got a fold away extra long rail. I'd pull it out (on my bed) when she slept with me.
I do know some people who made a queen sized crib for themselves and their child lol
