KFC does as well. I get WHY some places take it (if I understand it correctly, you have to have a special type of benefits, and it's typically reserved for people who are unable to cook- elderly, homeless, etc), but yeah.

neither of those places take them here. Nor does our subway and they used to I thought. (think it is because of the "hot" sandwich thing) for the fast food it is only in certain locations here in california for certain cards

I read in some area that have a high homeless rate, certain fast food places allow EBT (its a special EBT), since those people have no place to actually cook their food. I am okay with that.

many of their drinks *do* provide a whopping amt of calories

I don't know where the sunbeams end and the starlights begin; it's all a mystery.

You can get EBT if you're homeless? Here in Canada you don't qualify for welfare if you're homeless. They say if you're homeless go to a shelter and you get a shelter allowance ($10/week for a single person) and the shelter makes food for you..

Overpriced coffee and food, great! Surely these food stamp recipients have not learned a damn thing about budgeting.
