Say your dog bit your kid, WHAT DO YOU DO?

Your dog has been growling at your kid or the past month, but today your dog actually bites your kid's hand. Does not break skin, no blood. But the point is he bit your kid.

Do you take him to the pound, no questions asked? Do you work with him, take him to a behavioral specialist?

What do you do?

And GO!

If the dog was growling at my kids at all. We would find it somewhere else to live. If a dog bites my kid, I would kill it. No questions asked.

Is the dog growling at the child because the child is aggravating it, or is the child doing nothing and the dog is acting aggressive towards him/her?

Well this actually happened to our family a few weeks ago. We took in a dog, had him for a couple weeks with no problems. He ended up biting my 9 month old. Dh took him back to the family we got him from. I was sad, but we didnt want to risk him doing it again or to one of my daycare kids.

I love animals, but I'm not risking my child's life/health for a dog. I'll take it back to a store or find it a family with no kids. The last resort would be a shelter.

2 years old? 3?
Had dog for a year.
Nothing, dog and kid are always in front of you.
No, dog rough houses with the kid. Think WWE wrestling. Fun stuff. They love each other.

I wouldn't have waited a month to work with the dog. If they have been having issues it should have been a top priority.
