at night to help them go to sleep. ...then why is it not ok for a 3 yr old to have a bottle before bed to help them go to sleep? Both nipples..... both milk......???????????????????

Bottles and real nipples are completely different.

Bottle milk rot

Bottle detrimental to jaw alignment and teeth growth

boob, no bottle rot

boob, strengthens jaw and doesn't disrupt proper tooth growth.

Because breastmilk has natural enzymes in it that don't rot the teeth.

Because a woman's nipple molds to the child's mouth, the artificial one doesn't.

I think a 3 year old is too old for either, that's just my opinion though.

Then you still deal with the issues the nipple itself causes on teeth and jaw alignment.
