Will my baby choke?

I see these baltic amber teething necklaces.....thinking about getting one for my little one, but they look so unsafe.  A necklace for a baby?  Anyone have any words of wisdom.

My son wore one. He didn't even know it was on his neck. He never messed with it or anything. It worked great btw :)

They are only supposed to be worn while supervised. I think most are knotted after every bead. The necklaces are not intended to be chewed on.

The one I bought for my daughter was double knotted after every bead so even if it did break only one bead came off.I also took it off for showers as I wasn't sure if the necklace would weaken over time with water. My daughter never really noticed it except when she got bigger she would try to help me put it on her after a shower.

This. It is not something you leave on 24 7 so it is not for a baby who spends all day in a swing or jumper. Not saying to do that, but some people do.

Trust your mommy instinct, if you think it's unsafe..it is.
