I lost my baby last week and ended up have a D&C. Well today I called the Medicaid office to report loosing the baby and cancel the Medicaid. The lady inform me that I would have traditional Medicaid until the end of December because the cover you for 2 months after the delivery or loss of the baby.
So my question for you ladies is would it be wrong to use it (even though I technically can) to get the surgery I need on my left shoulder? I also need to have dental work done and get a new glasses prescription.
I wouldn't have been able to get surgery done while I was pregnant, but now that I'm not I could.

Quoting LiDoMama:I'm not sure if they'd cover it. I thought Medicaid during pregnancy only covered basic healthcare or OB/GYN care. I'm sure though that it would cover the eye doctor appointment.
Anyway, sorry for your loss.
Thank you.
I'm not on a plan yet. I just picked one last week and it doesn't go into effect for 90 days. So for the 90 days (well til dec 31) I will have traditional Medicaid. Which means I can go and see any doctor with out a referral, be seen and receive treatment.

In my state adults aren't covered for dental or vision. And all surgeries have to be pre approved through the state and that takes forever unless it is an emergency.
