We have $100 cash and I got dh's check stub for what he'll get pa
d tomorrow in the mail today...
We have Ds 1's birthday party this weekend, hardly any food and we need to put half of rent (so $367.50) aside...
By hardly any food I mean we have enough for tonight.
My mom said she'd buy Ds's cake if I needed her to. There's a thing I want to get him, it's $50 but it's an outside toy and we live in a 2nd story apartment. We need decorations, at least one gift for him and food for the week.
Help

UPDATE: Ok, first of all it says ds1's birthday, not his first birthday. Anyways...
I just went and got groceries for the week and spent $50, that is including the stuff to make the cupcakes for Ds's birthday party. I got the stuff to make: meatloaf with homemade Mac n cheese and a vegi, chicken soft tacos, shepards pie, chicken broccoli rice casserole, ham and beans with cornbread and fried potatoes, polish sausage potato bake, and chicken and dumplings. I also grabbed bacon for Sunday's breakfast.
Tomorrow we will go get the decorations when dh gets off work. :)
I'm not getting him the $50 toy. I'm getting him a movie, some books, makers and coloring books. :)

You do not buy a toy before you buy food.

You're not planning to feed anyone at the party, are you?

We haven't even discussed that but no, I don't think we are. If we do it'll be hot dogs.

You don't need a party. How old is DS?

It's his FIRST birthday. How the hell is he going to know what day it is on? Hell for the first 4 years of my kids life we celebrated Christmas a day late so my sister could be there too-the kids never knew.

Celebrate when you can afford it.

Priorities... Food, rent, then toys and parties. Those can wait.

You put that 50 towards food, not a toy.
