Dh and I made a deal last night...

Posted by   + Show Post
He decided to take an extra long shower when he got home from work. While he was in the shower I needed to use the restroom so I put Kayleb (3 weeks old) in his bassinet and rolled him into the bathroom and told Benji (2 years old) to come in with me.
I got out of the restroom and dh came out from the other bathroom shortly after. I was a little frustrated because I never get to go to the bathroom by myself unless it's in the middle if the night...
He saw that I was frustrated and asked why so I told him...
He and I made an agreement that in Saturday he will take both boys to the restroom with him any time he has to go, if he goes to the kitchen, they go with him. He won't get a moment alone all day...

Put the baby in the crib or bassinet..whatever, and the two year old in his room with a baby gate. Go to the bathroom.

It is not rocket surgery :)

Considering Benji tries to pick Kayleb up and feed him stuff, yea, it really could hurt. Yesterday Benji laid on Kayleb....

Quoting Anonymous:

Won't hurt ya to leave them alone to poop or pee.

His name is Benjamin, we call him Benji (after Benji Madden from Good Charlotte)

And the phrase has been around way longer than that. Some smart advertiser just took it & ran with it.

Quoting momof2boy2girl:

She meant rocket surgery. It's from a commercial. Some guy was trying to be slick and called himself a rocket surgeon. It was for some new refrigerator I think lol.

I believe the expression  is "it's not rocket science."

You don't have a place in your house that your children can be safely unattended for 5 minutes?

How on earth....
