See what CafeMoms are saying about saving time this holiday season..
My dd is 7, but is about the size of a 4 year old. She is 41" and 40lbs. My dd has been running a low grade fever for about a week and acts like she is in pain by crying out for "no reason" (even though I know there is a reason), despite doctors not finding anything wrong (my daughter has down syndrome and doesn't communicate well). I called the on call nurse again and she asked me what dose of meds I give her of Tylenol and ibuprofen. I told her 7.5mL's since that is the dose recommended for her weight. The nurse told me to go by the dose for her age, not weight. Umm, what?!?! Would you go by the age or stick to the weight range (36-47lbs or age 4-5 gets 7.5mL's and weight 48-59lbs or age 6-8 gets 10mL's)?
