How old is too old for a child to go trick or treating? My dh and I differ in opinions

My husband and I have been going back and forth about whether or not our 8 1/2 year old is too old to trick or treat. I say he is still way young enough to go trick or treating. It really bugs me that he thinks he is too old!

So how old do you think is too old to trick or treating?

He's the perfect age. I would say 15? I think that's when I stopped.

Meh. Who cares really. Let kids enjoy begging for candy...it's like a right of passage.

Wow... 8 is so young... he should be trick or treating for years yet.

We put high school as the cut off point. This year, even though dd is in high school, she'll be going trick or treating with her little brother and a group of friends... the last big trick or treat blast for our family, because ds will be in high school next year. After that, they'll be doing other things for Halloween.
